Ingredients
- for vegan recipe substitute for chocolate:
- 12 ounces dark or semi sweet chocolate
- 12 ounces soft silken tofu
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pie shell
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 7/8 cup sugar
- 9 tablespoons shortening
- to use half of each type of chocolate:
- 6 oz chocolate
- 3/8 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- scant 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 1/2 tablespoons shortening

Preparation
Step 1
melt chocolate, cool to luke warm
puree tofu in food processor, add chocolate & process til well blendedl
add vanilla & pulse to blend
spread into pie shell, refrigerate 60 mins to set; let stand 15 mins at room temp to serve
keeps in refrigerator 2-3 days
