Ingredients

  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter, room temp
  • 4 ounces semi or bittersweet choc, chopped (or chips)
  • 1 tablespoon veg oil or 4 tbs unsalted butter

Step 1

oven 350-middle rack; line 8" pan with foil & spray with Pam

melt choc & butter together, cool

whisk together: sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, vanilla; whisk in chocolate mixture til smooth

stir in flour til no streaks appear, spread into prepared pan

for peanut butter swirl: drop peanut butter in 10 small dollops over batter, swirl in being careful not to rip foil

bake until toothpick inserted half way to middle comes out clean-about 22-27 mins

cool 2 hour, then frost

frosting: melt choc with oil or butter, spread over brownies & let set 1 - 2 hours
