  • 1 lb. smoked sausage
  • 2 med. Granny Smith Apples, cored and chunked
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15.5 oz) Great Northeren Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • dash cinnamon
  • optional: 1 cup chopped cabbage

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350. Cut sausage into 1/2 inch thick slices, cut slices in half crosswise. Combine sausage with apple, onion, and beans (cabbage if using).

2. In a medium bowl whisk ketchup, maple syrup, mustard, and cinnamon. Pour over sausage mixture; toss to coat. Spoon mixture into a 2 1/2 Qt. casserole (dish will be very full). Cover with lid. Bake 40 minutes; stir before serving. Yield 4 servings.
