Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3 cups finely chopped or shredded cabbage
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 1/2 cups frozen corn kernels
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- salt to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion, until meat is brown and onion is tender, stirring frequently. Drain.
Transfer meat mixture to slow cooker.
Add all remaining ingredients. Stir to mix well.
Cover and cook on low setting 5-1/2 to 6 hours. Remove bay leaf.
