- 1/4 c slivered almonds
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 1 t lemon juice
- 3/4 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1 T butter

Step 1
Toast almonds in a nonstick pan over medium heat, stirring constantly until they start to turn golden brown. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick pan over med-high heat. Add beans, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Saute for five mins, then turn the heat to low. Cover the pan and continue to cook until the beans are just tender, about five mins depending on the size of the beans.
Put the beans in a serving bowl. Toss with the butter and sprinkle with the toasted almonds. Serve hot.
