Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 large egg beaten
- 3 croissants cubed
- 2 tbsp raisons and chocolate chips
- Vanilla sauce
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp melted butter
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Pinch of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg

Step 1
Grease a 12 cup muffin tin. In a saucepan, heat milk, sugar and vanilla until bubbles appear, 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in beaten egg until well blended. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix croissant cubes with chips and raisons. Place equal amounts of croissant mixture in the muffin cups. Press gently. Pour milk mixture in each cup. Soak in for 20 minutes. Prejeat oven to 325 degrees. Set the muffin pan in a slightly larger pan and add enough hot water to reach half way up side of muffin pan. Bake 14 minutes or until golden brown, and no liquid appears when top is pressed.
Sauce. Combine all ingredients in a double boiler until thick. Remove the puddings from the pan and serve with vanilla sauce. Makes 12 servings.
