  • 1/4 Cup butter
  • 2/3 Cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 2 1/4 Cups of flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Step 1

Cream the butter and add the sugar gradually. Add well beaten egg. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to first mixture. Turn unto buttered cake pan. Bake for 35 minutes in moderate oven.
