Grilled Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich

By

If I could do anything in my power to convince you to make this heavenly grilled sandwich, I would do it! It’s loaded with all of my thanksgiving favorites… turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Provolone cheese is added between slices of hearty sour dough bread and the whole thing is grilled to perfection. I mixed the cranberry sauce with mayo and a bit of stone ground mustard and please believe me when I tell that is down right dreamy and really gives this sandwich a fantastic flavor. This is no ordinary sandwich, you can be sure of that.

Preparation

Step 1

1. Into a small mixing bowl, place 1 (14 ounce) can whole cranberry sauce, 1/2 C mayonnaise (full fat is best here) and 1 Tb stone ground mustard. Stir it well to combine.

2. Grab some hearty sour dough bread. Butter one side of the bread turn them over and spread some of the cranberry mixture over the top of the other side. Layer some provolone cheese on the bottom slice. Add some turkey.Layer a bit of stuffing over the top and cover it with more provolone cheese. Place the other piece of bread (butter side up) over the top of the rest of the sandwich.

3. Heat a large, deep skillet up over medium high heat. Place the sandwich on the pan and cover it with a lid. (This will help the cheese to melt and the turkey and stuffing to heat through).

4. When the bottom is a beautiful golden brown, flip it over and allow the other side to get golden and the cheese to melt. Serve immediately and enjoy! I know I will be! Can't wait to make this again. ?
