Ingredients
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 10 oz can condensed French Onion Soup or 1 package dried French Onion soup mix and 10 oz water)
- 2 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix or small herbed croutons
- 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
- 2 pounds lean minced beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- 8 oz passata or tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp quick-cooking tapioca

Preparation
Step 1
Combine egg, soup, stuffing mix and salt in a large bowl. Add beef, mix well. Shape into 1-inch meatballs. Place meatballs on a baking tray and bake in a 180 degree / 350 degree oven for 15-18 minutes or until done. Drain and transfer to a slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour over meatballs and stir gently to coat.
Cover and cook on high-heat setting for 2-3 hours. Serve with toothpicks.
