Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 medium slices soft bread, torn in pieces, and 1 c. milk or 1 c. dry bread crumbs and 1 1/4 c, milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 c. minced onion
  • 1 tbsp catsup
  • 1 tbsp horse-radish
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all together and shape into a loaf on a shallow baking pan. Bake @ 350 degrees about 1 to 1 1/2 hr.

Topping:
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. catsup
1 tbsp mustard.

Spread on top of loaf last 15 min of baking. Save some topping to drizzle over loaf after it is sliced and ready to serve.
