The name says it all!! Tender beef and vegetables are wonderfully flavored with a tangy sweet sauce in this one-pot meal. Thicken the sauce for gravy if desired.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs boneless blade (or chuck) roast
  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 4 medium carrots, halved
  • 1-2/3 cups steak sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Place roast in medium roasting pan. Sprinkle with pepper.

Arrange potatoes and carrots around roast in pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Combine steak sauce and 1-1/2 cups water in small bowl. Pour over roast and vegetables. Cook, covered, in 325 oven for about 2-1/4 hours, turning roast twice, until roast and vegetables are very tender. Remove roast to large serving platter. Cover with foil. Let stand for 10 minutes. Remove vegetables with slotted spoon to large serving bowl. Remove sauce to small serving bowl. Cover both to keep warm. Slice roast.
