Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, at room temperature
  • 2 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon bread machine yeast
  • Filling
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, at room temperature
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 Tablespoon milk

Preparation

Step 1

Into the bread machine, place water, butter, sugar, salt and flour.

Making a well in the center of the flour, place yeast so it is not touching any water.

Turn bread machine on to dough cycle.

Once dough cycle is complete, On a floured work surface, roll dough out to a 9 inch square.

Make the filling, by mixing sugar and ground cinnamon together.

Spread the filling butter all over the dough then sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over top.

Roll up into a tight log and seal the edges by pinching.

Cut rolled dough into 1" slices.

place cinnamon buns in a greased pan.

Cover pan with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to let rise 1 hour until doubled.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.

To make the frosting, In a small bowl mix confectioners sugar, vanilla and milk to a smooth frosting. Drizzle frosting over rolls.
