Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Kosher salt and fresh pepper taste
  • Cooked rice or pasta for serving

Step 1

In a bowl, combine all ingredients, except rice or pasta; toss to coat chicken thoroughly.

Place chicken thighs on a piece of aluminum foil (big enough to make a pouch).

Fold the foil then seal on all sides.

Fill water tank with water.

Place foil pouch in the bottom steamer basket.

Cut 4 small holes in the top of the foil using a small knife.

Cover steamer and set timer to 10 minutes

Steam for 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees on a meat thermometer.

When steaming is complete, carefully remove the pouch and let rest for 5 minutes.

Tear open foil pouch and serve chicken with rice or pasta.
