Ingredients
- Good baguette cut in 24 - 1/4” slices
- 6 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 c. chopped pecans (about 4 oz.)
- 1 Tbsp. peanut oil
- Salt
- 4 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
- 1 Red Delicious (or other) apple, halved, cored, cut into 24 slices
- 8 oz. chilled Brie, rind trimmed, cut in 24 slices
- 24 pecan halves

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Place baguette slices on heavy cookie sheet. Brush with melted butter and bake until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Cool completely.
Blend 1 c. pecans with peanut oil in processor to smooth paste, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides of work bowl. Season with salt. Spread cream cheese on croutons. Top each with apple slice, then Brie slices. Spread pecan butter over top. Top each with pecan half. Place on heavy cooking sheet and bake until cheese melts slightly, about 1 minute. Transfer to platter and serve.
