Ingredients

  • Muffins:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • Topping:
  • 4 Tbsps unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon & nutmeg to taste

Step 1

Combine all muffin ingredients. Mix until blended. Scoop into lined muffin pans. Top with topping ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
