Ingredients
- 1 package dry yeast
- 2 T. warm water (105-115)
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 5 to 5 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 t. of salt

Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand 5 min. Combine milk, suger and shortening in a saucepan; cook over low heat until shortening melts. Cool to 105 to 115. Stir into yeast mixture; add 2 1/2 cups of flour and salt, mixing at low speed of the mixer until well blended. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead 8-10 min. place in a well grease bowl, turning to grease side up. Cover top tightly and refrigerate 8 hr. or up to 3 days. Remove desired amount of dough from ref. shape in 1 1/2" balls. Placed in greased pans; cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts; 1 hr. or until double in size. Bake @ 375 for 20 min.
