Ingredients

  • 6 halves chicken breasts
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices swiss cheese
  • 4 T butter
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 4 oz can chopped mushrooms with juice
  • 4 T flour

Preparation

Step 1

Make sauce by melting butter over low heat. Blend in flour and salt. Add milk all at once. Cook quickly, stirring constantly til it thickens and bubbles. Add cube and stir until dissolved. Add mushrooms and juice. Clean chicken. Spoon 1 T sauce on a slice of ham, top with swiss cheese, top with 1/2 chicken breast. Roll tightly, jelly roll style. Place in dish with seam side down. Top each piece with sauce again, bake 350, 45 min. Serve leftover sauce as gravy.
