Ingredients

  • 1 pound DOLE® Red Onions, thinly sliced (4 cups)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil plus extra for brushing pizza crust
  • 1 pkg. (5 oz.) DOLE Sweet Baby Lettuces
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 (12-inch) prebaked pizza crust
  • 3 to 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme

Preparation

Step 1

•Preheat oven to 425°F.
•Cook onions in 3 tablespoons olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, 15 to 17 minutes or until dark brown and caramelized. Remove from heat; stir in salad blend, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, to taste.
•Spray large pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place pizza crust on pan and crush edges of crust with olive oil. Spoon onion mixture over crust. Sprinkle top with shredded cheese and thyme. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until heated through and cheese melts.
