Marilyn Snyder's Rum Cake

Ingredients
- 1 package yellow cake mix (with or without pudding)
- 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup rum

Step 1
Oven temp: 325
Use a non-stick bundt pan and spray it with "Baker's Secret" or other oil/flour product to better prevent sticking.
Mix all ingredients together (any lumps will disappear during baking)
Pour into prepared pan
Bake for ~55 minutes or until it tests done with a cake tester.
Remove and let cool in pan a few minutes, then invert onto a cooling rack.
Poke holes into top of cake for glazing
Glaze:
1 stick butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
Melt butter slowly in saucepan; add water and sugar and bring to a slow boil. Stir constantly about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup rum
Drizzle glaze onto prepared cake
Wrap finished cake in heavy foil if not serving immediately - Makes it "rummier!"
