Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion-mushroom recipe soup mix
  • 3 Tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (1/2 pint) light cream or half and half
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium brunch broccoli or 1 medium head cauliflower, separated into florets and cooked
  • Buttered bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In saucepan, ring water to a boil; stir in onion-mushroom recipe soup mix; simmer covered 5 minutes.

Stir in flour blended with cream and Worcestershire sauce. Bring just to the boiling point, then simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in cheese until melted.

In a 2 quart casserole dish, arrange broccoli; top with cheese sauce, then bread crumbs.

Bake 15 minutes or until heated through.
