Ingredients

  • 3/4 (pound) Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 (teaspoon) dried basil leaves
  • 1 (14.0 ounce) jar of pasta sauce with mushrooms
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) dried oregano leaves
  • 1 1/2 (cup) shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 (medium) sandwich rolls, halved and lightly toasted

Preparation

Step 1

Brown sausage in medium sized skillet over medium-high heat; drain fat. Add basil, oregano, and pasta sauce. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon shredded cheese on each half of toasted sandwich roll.

Divide sausage mixture among the sandwich rolls. Top with remaining cheese. Broil about 3-inches from source of heat until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
