Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
- 2 cups packed brown sugar (I used dark)
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 10 ounces of cinnamon chips
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350. Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon together in a medium bowl. Beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla and mix well. Add the flour mixture gradually, beating constantly. Stir in the cinnamon chips. Spread the batter evenly in a lightly greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Mix the sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the batter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool slightly. Cut with a sharp knife into bars while still warm.
