Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 10 tortillas (whole wheat or flour)
- 1 pound cheese, shredded

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400° F.
In a skillet, brown the chicken pieces. After thoroughly cooked, add the taco seasoning and water. Cook for about 5 minutes or until most of the water has cooked off.
Lay the tortilla shells on a rectangular cookie sheet. Spoon the chicken mixture onto half on a tortilla. Top with cheese. Fold the tortilla in half and creasing the fold. Repeat for the remaining tortillas shells.
Bake at 400°F for 5 minutes. Flip the tortillas and cook for another 5 minutes.
Note:
• Chicken can be omitted for cheese quesadillas.
• Browned beef, bacon bits, or diced ham can also be used.
• For a quick quesadilla, use a cast iron skillet on the burner.
