Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar & 3 cups water
  • 1 6 ounce can frozen orange juice, defrosted
  • 1 6 ounce can frozen lemonade, defrosted
  • 24 ounces unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 ripe bananas (blended)
  • 1 1/2 cup vodka (or light rum can be used)

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 3 cups water. (Can use Splenda). Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Boil gently uncovered for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
Meanwhile, in a blender combine bananas and half the pineapple juice. Cover and blend until smooth. Stir in cooled syrup. Stir in remaining pineapple juice, orange juice and lemonade concentrates and lemon juice. Stir in liquor.

Turn into a plastic freezer container. Cover with moisture and vapor proof material. Seal and freeze for a least several hours or as long as 2 months. To serve, stir slush and spoon into glass. Slowly pour in cold carbonated water using equal amounts of slush and carbonated water. (You can also use less water and have mostly slush.)
