Ingredients
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- One 16-ounce can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 5 or 6 kalamata olives, pitted and halved

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, cook the onion in the olive oil, stirring, over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add the chickpeas and thyme, and cook 1 minute. Add the remaining ingredients and heat through.
