Ingredients

  • crushed ice or ice cubes
  • 2 tsp grenadine
  • 2 tsp lemon juice, fresh or bottled
  • 1 tbsp sugar syrup, below
  • ginger ale, to fill

Preparation

Step 1

Fill tall glass with ice. Pour grenadine, lemon juice, sugar syrup and ginger ale over ice. Stir lightlly with swizzle stick. More grenadine may be added for a deeper color.

SUGAR SYRUP

1 cup water
2 cups granulated sugar

Heat and stir water and sugar in saucepan until boiling. Boil slowly for 5 minutes. Cool. Keeps almost indefinitely. Makes a scant 2 cups.
