Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c butter
• 1 c 10x sugar
• 1 egg well beaten
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 c unsifted flour
• 1 tsp cream of tartar
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F
Cream butter, sugar, and egg. Add baking soda and mix. Let stand for 10 min.
Add flour, cream of tartar, and vanilla. Mix well.
Drop by 1/4 tsp and flatten with glass dipped in flour.
Bake for 10 min.

*can put small amount of grape or strawberry jelly in the center before the cookies go in the oven
