Ingredients

    cup butter, softened

  • 2

    cups sugar

  • 3

    eggs

  • 2

    tsp. vanilla

  • 3

    cups flour

  • 2 1/2

    tsp. baking powder

  • 1

    tsp. salt

  • 1 1/4

    cups milk

Directions

Cream the butter & sugar, then blend in eggs and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients & add with the milk. Do not overmix. Divide into greased 8 or 9 inch pans. Bake at 345 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until it tests done. If making cupcakes, bake for about 10 minutes and then check frequently until desired doneness.
