- 2 tblsp pure maple syrup, plus more to taste
- 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

In a medium saucepan, stir together the strawberries maple syrup, and lemon juice and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer until the liquid has thickened slightly, about 5 minutes. lavor with additional maple syrup, depending on the sweetness of the fruit. The topping will keep up to 4 days in the refrigerator stored in an airtight container.
