  • 1/2 a pound cake mixture
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/4 cup Kentucky bourbon
  • 2 cups dark chocolate or chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

1.In a mixer with a paddle attachment, combine the pound cake, sugar, corn syrup, cocoa and bourbon. Mix well.
2.Using a small scoop, scoop and roll mixture into balls. Set aside.
3.Melt the chocolate and dip the bourbon drops in. Coat drops well.
4.Chill to set up chocolate. Serve.

NOTE:1.For additional variations, try rolling the chocolate bourbon drops in coatings like: toasted pecan bits, toasted coconut flakes, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or fleur de sel.
2.You can also put a maraschino cherry inside the bourbon ball before dipping.
