Crockpot Sweet Teriyaki Chicken

By

I was in the student council in elementary school, which mean I had the "privilege" to sell beef jerky in the hallway at lunch. That is when my love affair with teriyaki started! I would be sure to bring 50 cents to school everyday so I could buy a piece of that delicious, flavorful jerky. I have never met a teriyaki recipe I didn't like, and this one is so sweet and tasty that your family is bound to love it too!

I think I'm making this for dinner tomorrow. 1 cup of sugar sounds like so much though! I just discovered your blog and look forward to trying a recipe or two! Thanks! (REPLY:I know it seems like a lot. It's kind of a "sweeter" teriyaki chicken . . . the sugar is what probably makes it so delicious!)

This looks so yummy! I am excited to try it! I will be pinning it to my "favorite recipies" on pinterest! You have some great stuff on here! keep up the good work! :)

I am waiting for dinner! I am single and so I made it with 2 chicken breasts, and 1/4 c of sugar and soy sauce with 1/2 tsp. of garlic salt and use your judgment on onions.
Smells yummy already!

When you say that your chicken breasts were frozen (I've seen this in several of your awesome recipes)... do you thaw them beforehand? Thank you!!! (REPLY: I throw the chicken right into the crockpot frozen. The first time I did this I was leery, but don't fear...you'll have moist, flavorful chicken that's completely cooked.)

Thank you, Kathy... this will be tonight's dinner! We just had our 3rd baby 2 months ago, and I have a hard time remembering to thaw things, so this will make it much easier! Thank you for your help!

This was very yummy! I used frozen chicken thighs because I had them. I only used 1/2 cup of Soy Sauce(I use BRAGG's and it is costly) and 1/2 cup of sugar and dried onion flakes(my kids hate onion but don't mind the dried onion) I made some very thin rice noodles, and made some veggie stir fry as well. Placed the noodles with some Teriyaki sauce on a bowl and topped it with the chicken and veggies, everyone at it all up! I was also thinking that you could marinate the chicken the night before to intensify the flavors if desired.

I just want to thank you for sharing this awesome recipe. I am featuring your dish on my blog today. Thank you again!!

I made this tonight for dinner and ... Yumm-mo! "Mom, this is Soooo good". "Mom, can I please have some more.". And the best one was from my daughter that doesn't like ANYthing..."Mom, this chicken tastes kinda weird, weird but GOOD.". I will totally be doing this dinner again! Soooo easy and delicious! Thanks for sharing your deliciousness!

I didnt realize the chicken you used was frozen. I have been thawing mine out since this morning. they are still solid, but not frozen, is this ok, or just cook less? I am trying this for dinner tonight! Thanks so much! (REPLY: I am sure that is fine to still cook as directed!)

I made this tonight but used dark brown sugar instead of regular sugar. It came out fantastic and we all enjoyed it, even my picky kids :) Thanks for this recipe - it's super easy, tasty, and definitely a keeper!

Making tonight, sounds so yummy. Used real garlic and sea salt and half the sugar. Can't wait!

I made this tonight and it was okay, much too salty for me. I used real garlic but other than that I made it as stated. I think next time I will use teriyaki sauce or low sodium soy sauce and add veggies try to tweat it a bit more to my liking. Besides the saltiness it was very good.
