  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 ounces flaked coconut

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, combine eggs, butter or margarine, flour, vanilla, sugar, milk and coconut. Mix well.

Pour into 10 inch deep dish pie plate.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Though the filling seems unsettled, do not cook the pie any longer. Refrigerate and it will settle without spoiling its cream consistency. Crust will form on the bottom.
