  • 12 large fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped Texas pecans
  • 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Wash mushrooms gently in cool water or wipe with a damp cloth. Remove stems and chop. Reserve caps. Place butter in a skillet; saute onions in butter; add stems, pecans, bread crumbs, lemon juice and salt. Mix well.

Mound stuffing into mushroom caps. Broil 4 minutes, about 4 inches from heat; or cook in microwave oven on 100 percent power 2 to 3 minutes.
