Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 1/8 c.sugar (2 tbsp)
- 2 tbsp baking pwd
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp cream of tarter
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 egg lightly beaten

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together flour, sugar, baking pwd, salt and cream of tartar. Add butter or margarine. With a fork or pastry blender, blend mixture until it resembles coarse meal, then stir in egg and milk. Turn dough on a lightly floured surface; knead lightly for 4 or 5 strokes. Roll out or pat into a 3/4 inch thickness round. Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 10-15 min.
