Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2-20 oz can canned tomatoes
- 1-12oz. can of tomato sauce
- 1-1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1-1/2 pkgs mozzarella cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles

Step 1
Cook hamburg and onion in dutch ove until juices are gone and the meat is brown. Stir well as this will ensure a good superb sauce. Add all ingredients but the cheese. Break up the tomatoes, simmer for 40 minutes, stirring when needed. Discard bay leaf.
Prepare lasagna noodles as directed on the package. Drain well and lay one layre in a 13 x 9" pan. Spoon 1/3 sauce mixture on the noodles - top with slices of mozzarella cheese, then some more sauce, noodles, sauce, cheese slices and finally top with the remaining sauce. Bake in 350 oven for about 1 hour. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
