Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup very dry sherry
  • 1 cup stewed chopped prunes
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sift together all dry ingredients and then add remaining ingredients. Beat mixture for 3 minutes. Butter a large bundt or angel food cake pan, pour in mixture and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hour. Let stand on rack for 10 minutes.

NOTE: Marie sometimes adds fruit cake mixture and then says it taste like a fruitcake and is very good.
