  • 1 16oz. box brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 8oz. carton heavy whipping cream
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1-2 cups whole pecans



Step 1

Using large microwave-safe bowl (at least 10 cups, mix brown sugar with unwhipped cream until there are no big lumps. Microwave (uncovered) on high for 14 minutes. Carefully remove the hot bowl and stir in butter, until blended, and 1-2 cups pecans (the more the better). Let sit for a couple of minutes to thicken a little, then drop by tablespoonfuls onto foil or waxed paper. Let cool. The mixture must be bubbling, and hot, hot, hot. Since microwaves vary, you might have to put it back in for a few more minutes.
