  • 4 beaten egg yolks
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup scalded milk

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, salt, and margarine together. Blend as a pie mix. Add yeast to lukewarm water. Add yeast to cooled milk. Add egg yolks to liquid and all liquid to dry ingredients, (a little at a time). Refrigerate dough from 1 to 24 hours.

Divide dough into 4 parts, roll out 1 section and add filling to 3/4 of dough. Leave right side bare. Flop bare side over half of the filling and bring other side of filling over bare top. Pinch ends together. Bake on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
