Ingredients

  • 4 cups white bread or all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 heaping TBL honey
  • 1 TBL olive oil
  • 2.5 cups warm water, approx.

Preparation

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients, add honey, oil and water. While kneading, add flour to get to doughy, but not too sticky consistency. Knead until smooth and elastic. Leave some flour on outside of dough ball, putting it in mixing bowl and covering with towel to rise. Place in warm place until dough has doubled in size, about 30 minutes. Knead and let rise again (2-4 times). Knead until smooth. Divide into 2 portions. Mold dough to required size and place on a flat floured tray. Assemble with favorite toppings.

Preheat egg and stone to 375-400 degrees. Sprinkle stone with flour or cornmeal. Place pizza on stone and bake 10-20 minutes.
