Ingredients

  • Chicken Section:
  • 4 cloves of garlic diced small
  • 2 large onions chopped (split in 3 parts)
  • Slivered almonds
  • 1 lb chicky breast
  • 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • salt & pepper
  • cinnamon
  • chili powder
  • Beef Section:
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/3 rd of chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • Rice Part:
  • 2-1/2 cups long grain rice
  • EVOO
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup water

Step 1

Chicken:
Srinkle chicken with salt, pepper, chili powder and cinnamon. Saute in sauce pan until brown with a little olive oil. Sprinkle on other side and turn over to brown also. Add garlic to chicken with 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar and 1/3rd of the onions. Cover and let cook in own juices. 10-15 mins, or until done. Cool. Shred.

Beef:
Brown ground beef w/salt, pepper, cinnamon, vinegar, chili powder, 4 cloves of garlic and 1/3 of the onions. After browed, add 1 Tbsp butter.

In another pan, put rest of onions and 1 Tbsp. butter and sauté. Add ½ bag (1 cup) slivered almonds & cook until golden.

Rice:
Put EVOO and butter into pot and add rice. Stir to coat. Add salt, cinnamon, pepper. Add 1 cup beef broth and stir. Add 1 cup chicky broth and 2/3 cup water. Bring to boil. While cooking if needed, add more water. Cover & lower heat to simmer.

After rice is cooked, add shredded chicken & beef and mix together.
