Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 cups milk - (I sometimes use 1 cup milk 1 cup 1/2&1/2)
- 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese (about 2 cups) plus a little extra foe the top
- 4 oz Velveeta cheese melted with a little milk
- salt & pepper
- 1/2 can french fried onions

Step 1
Prepare macaroni. Melt butter in large saucepan. Whisk in flour until smooth about 2 minutes. Gradually add milk and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat Stir in cheese and salt and pepper. Lightly grease baking dish. Spoon in pasta and cheese mixture Stirling well. Drizzle the melted Velveeta cheese and extra cheese over top and bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Top with french fried onions and bake another 5-7 minutes or until the onions are a golden brown.
