Ingredients

  • 5 lb boneless pork loin (not tenderloin)
  • 2 tsps rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 crushed cloves of garlic
  • Sauce
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 Tbs cornstarch
  • 1/2 c apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c water
  • 4 Tbs soy sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325. Bring meat to room temp before baking.

Rub spices and garlic over the top of pork. Cook uncovered, middle rack, approx.3 hrs or until internal temp is 150. Combine Ingreds for sauce and cook until it begins to bubble and thicken. Remove from heat and brush on pork 3 or 4 times during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Add the remaining amount of sauce at serving time.
