Patriotic Cake Mix Jello Cookies. A wonderful combination of a boxed cake mix and Jell-O. These are so simple and fun to decorate for the 4th of July!

Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 box Pillsbury white cake mix
- 1 small box blue raspberry jello
- 1/2 stick butter, softened
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) butter, melted
- 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
In a small bowl, mix the cake mix, jello, egg, cream cheese and butter until it is all well combined. Roll the dough into about 24 balls. Place them on a cookie sheet and gently press down on the top of the balls to slightly flatten them. Bake at 325 degrees for 11-13 minutes. Move the cookies to a wire rack to cool.
For the frosting, in a small bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, melted butter and milk together. Mix until the frosting is smooth.
When the cookies are cooled, spread the frosting on top of the cookies. Immediately sprinkle with patriotic sprinkles, if desired.
