Wackie Cake (double)

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 c flour
• 3 T cocoa
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 c sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 5 T melted butter
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp vinegar
• 1 c warm water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the first 5 ingredients thoroughly. Add the next 4 ingredients. Pour into ungreased 8x8x2 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes in 350 oven.


Broiled Icing (double)

Mix together:
1/4 c soft butter
3 T cream
1/2 c coconut
1/2 c brown sugar
1/3 c chopped nuts

Spread over top of warm cake. Place about 3 inches nder broiler until mixture browns.
