Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 3.3-3.6 cups all-purpose flour
  • melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Combine milk, butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until sugar is dissolved.

In separate bowl, combine water and yeast and let sit 5 minutes. Add milk mixture in as well as the egg. Mix well.

Stir in part of flour, then knead in the rest until well incorporated. Place dough in oiled bowl. Cover and let rest/rise ina warm place until doubled in bulk.

Roll dough out into a 30-in log and cut into 1 inch pieces. Roll each ball and flatten into 2-in round. (Or any other way, the dough can be used a number of ways)

Bake in a 425 oven for about 15 minutes.
