Ingredients
- Drizzle olive oil
- 1 small carrot - fine dice
- onion - fine chopped
- garlic - fine minced
- 1/2 t beef base
- 1 c hot water
- 2-3 T tomato paste
- Fresh basil, Italian parsley, thyme - minced
- 2-3 T Sherry
- Small can crushed tomatoes
- Sea Salt
- 1 pat of butter

Preparation
Step 1
Saute carrots in olive oil. Add onions & garlic and continue to saute.
Mix base beef in hot water and add to veggies. Stir in fresh herbs and tomato paste. Add Sheery and bring to easy boil. Add crushed tomatoes and season with sea salt. Rinse can with 1/4 c water and add.
Simmer. Stir in pat of butter.
Yes - this is pretty much an "eye-ball" sort of recipe.
