Ingredients

  • 1 pound melted semi sweet chocolate 4 1/2 oz. hot water &
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 5 egg whites
  • 2 T sugar
  • 2 c sweetened whipped whip cream

Preparation

Step 1

Whip egg whites in mixer bowl until soft peaks. Add hot water to chocolate and mix quickly. Add sugar to whipped egg whites in mixer bowl. Add egg yolks to chocolate mixture. Fold in egg white mixture a little at a time and mix well. Add more and fold with whisk until all mixed. Add whipped cream a little at a time and fold until well mixed. Refrigerate for a couple of hours until well-chilled. Use on cakes or desserts. Makes approx 2 quarts
