Ingredients
- FOR CUPCAKES:
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup old fashion oats
- 1/2 cup ( 1 stick) butter, melted, then, cooled
- 2 TBSP buttermilk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- FOR FROSTING:
- 1 cup ( 2 sticks) butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-2 TBSP milk
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12 count muffin pan or line with cupcake liners.
In a bowl, add in flour, salt, ground cinnamon and baking powder. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat melted butter, brown sugar and egg until combined. Add in vanilla, buttermilk and oats. Mix until combined.
Add in flour mixture and beat until fully mixed.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop batter evenly into prepared pan.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool cupcakes completely before frosting.
FOR FROSTING:
Beat softened butter until fluffy. Slowly, add in powdered sugar and beat until combined.
Next, add in brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until fully combined and creamy.
Add in 1-2 tablespoons of milk, to reach desired consistency.
Frost on cooled cupcakes, then, sprinkle tops with mini chocolate chips.
