Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsifted flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1 6 oz pkg. butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 c butter - room temperature
  • 1 c firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • 1/2 chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Conbine flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside.
Melt together butter and butterscotch chips over hot (not boiling) water.
Remove from heat and transfer to large bowl.
Stir in brown sugar.
Cool at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Blend in flour mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Spread evenly in greased 9 X 13 X 2 inch pan.
Bake 25-30 minutes.
