Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Organic Leeks, Greens Removed, cut into 1 Inch Pieces and Halved Lengthwise
  • 1 Clove Organic Garlic, Finely Minced
  • 1/2 c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 c. Milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Organic Flat Leaf (Italian) Parsley, Finely Chopped
  • Salt and Pepper

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a small pot over medium high heat. Once melted add garlic and saute for just a few seconds being careful not to burn. Add flour and stir until smooth. Slowly whisk in milk and stir until most lumps are removed. Whisk in cheese until melted. Salt and pepper to taste. Layout leeks in a small baking dish and pour melted cheese over top. Bake in preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until leeks are tender and cheese is bubbling. Sprinkle parsley over top and serve while hot.
